Back in Black (and White).

It's tougher than you think to shoot an engaging portrait. Sure, pretty much anyone can snap a selfie with their mobile phones nowadays. But to produce an image of someone that conveys emotion takes some doing.

For me, I find that the absence of colour in these situations often enhances this effect. It helps me focus more on the subject rather than be distracted by for example, the colour of their clothing.
